February Update
The February update of the web site is now in place. Don't forget the welcome reception and the farewell dinner for the International Conference visitors on March 3 and March 6, respectively. The next meeting is March 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Fireside Restaurant.

January Update
The January update of the web site, www.friendshipforcebigcanoenorthgeorgia.org, is now in place.
The next meeting is February 18, 2007, at 4:30 p.m., at the Fireside Restaurant. Tim Eubanks will tell us about his recent trip to Russia.

Thirtieth Anniversary
The thirtieth anniversary of Friendship Force is being celebrated at the Sheraton Colony Square Hotel in Atlanta March 1 to 3, 2007. The celebration begins with a gala dinner dance at the Georgia Aquarium on March 1. There is still time to make reservations. It is open to all!
Some of the attractions include a silent auction and a live auction of travel destinations, plane tickets, luggage, etc. Another is a live band, and a full dinner.
The Friendship Force of Big Canoe-North Georgia is home-hosting 18 guests from around the world from March 3 to 7. Sightseeing trips are planned. Some members will hos dinner parties, and some will lead hikes or take ambassadors shopping. The ambassadors are coming from Russia, South Africa, Canada, Kenya, England, and many parts of the United States.
There will be a farewell dinner on March 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Canoe Lodge in Big Canoe. All ambassadors, hosts, and club members are invited to attend. Club members are asked to bring a double-sized casserole of main dish, vegetable, or salad, and to call Ginny Miller in advance to say what they will bring. The Mountain Laurels dulcimer group will entertain, and will join the club for dinner.

Exchange to Germany
The Club is doing an exchange to Germany June 3 to June 17, 2007. At this point, there are no slots available, but exchange directors Harry and JoBeth Yarbrough are accepting people for a waiting list in case of cancellations. Contact them to be added to the waiting list.
